Today, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province organized a survey on the hydrogen fuel cell industry. The local hydrogen fuel cell, vehicle, hydrogen refueling station, and then hydrogen production and hydrogen supply, the industrial chain has been initially formed, and some cutting-edge scientific research results are about to be transformed into commodities.
Hydrogen fuel cells are the fourth generation of power generation after hydropower, thermal power, and nuclear power, and are increasingly being used in the field of transportation. According to statistics, from the commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in 2013 to the end of 2017, a total of 6,475 hydrogen fuel cell passenger vehicles have been sold worldwide, of which Toyota sales accounted for more than 75%. Chinese automakers produced 1,272 hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles last year. However, for a long time, the core technology of key components of hydrogen fuel cells has been mastered and monopolized by a few developed countries, and my country mainly relies on imports.
In recent years, local companies in Zhuzhou have independently developed core components, especially the membrane electrode technology of hydrogen fuel cells, including electrolyte membrane and catalyst technology, which are expected to break the key areas of foreign monopoly. For example, Hunan Zhenbang Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. cooperates with Tsinghua University to specialize in the design and manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells; Hunan CRRC Times Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. has developed and produced a 12-meter hydrogen fuel cell bus; Hunan Xingzhiju Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. is the only enterprise in the province engaged in the research and development of full-function hydrogen refueling stations; Zhuzhou Zhengtuobiao Hydrogen Gas Co., Ltd. is the only third-party hydrogen supply enterprise in the province whose main business is hydrogen production.
He Zhaohui, deputy mayor of Zhuzhou Municipal People's Government, participated in the survey. He pointed out in the survey that Zhuzhou City has a foundation and a good momentum for developing new energy industry. Relevant departments need to sort out the existing industrial chain as soon as possible and introduce other related enterprises to settle down.
